Founded in 2012, Lucas Architects is dedicated to the delivery of design focused, sustainable architecture meeting the needs of the client and end users.
With over 15 years' experience of leading a number of high profile, award winning projects we offer a full range of design services from concept through to project delivery. This is over a number of sectors including Education (Primary, FE, University), Residential (bespoke housing apartment schemes), Healthcare and Arts. The experience includes new build, refurbishment and conservation work.
The design process is integral to the work produced, creating architecture that is responsive to site, through the development of the brief and concept with the client, to the careful detailing and delivery of sustainable buildings.
The practice also undertakes architectural research and Matthew has extensive experience of teaching at the Birmingham School of Architecture leading both a post graduate thesis unit and a third year degree unit.
